Simeon Wilcher (2023)

Duke has yet to officially offer the combo guard out of New Jersey, but it’s rare that the Blue Devils aren’t involved with a prospect that is just outside of the top 10. Wilcher has drawn significant interest from Hubert Davis and UNC and he’s set to visit the program in October.

Right now, we feel pretty good about Wilcher and UNC’s relationship and early on we’d have to say they are a favorite to land him.

But an offer from Jon Scheyer and the Blue Devils could change things for Wilcher, offering up a potential battle down the road between the two rivals.

For now, let’s say that Wilcher probably would lean UNC if it came down to it. However, there’s a long ways to go in this recruitment and a Duke offer+ visit would seriously put a wrench into things for the Tar Heels.

Lean: UNC for now
