Khafre Brown

Coming into Saturday night’s action, Khafre Brown had yet to be a factor in the Tar Heels’ offense. The sophomore wideout had no catches, and was looking to break that trend against the Cavaliers.

The Charlotte, North Carolina product only had one reception, but it was definitely a big one for the UNC football program. As part of the Tar Heels’ fast offensive start, the team already had 14 points on the board. After a Virginia score, North Carolina got the ball back and needed just one play to once again find the end zone.

Howell connected with Brown on a quick strike for a 75-yard score. The drive took just 11 seconds overall, and once again put the Tar Heels back up two possessions.

Although he wasn’t a factor in the passing game afterwards, that play from Brown was a huge one for the Tar Heels. North Carolina took advantage of the big plays early on, which set the tone for the remainder of the contest.

Brown will be a factor for the Tar Heels moving forward, as his game-changing ability is something to keep an eye on.
