Find out what UNC football players earned helmet sticker honors for the Tar Heels’ season opener against Virginia Tech.

It’s very safe to say that opening weekend did not go as planned for the UNC football program.

The Tar Heels struggled throughout, as they were upset on the road by Virginia Tech. Although they had a chance to tie the game, nothing seemed to go right for Mack Brown and company on Friday night.

If you’re new to the Keeping It Heel team, each week we present our annual “helmet stickers.” These stickers are awarded to the Tar Heels who have the best performances for that given week’s contest.

Without further ado, let’s get right to it. Here’s our first set of helmet sticker recipients for the 2021 college football season.
