Hubert Davis and the UNC Basketball program are off to a good start in the 2022 recruiting class, landing three commitments over the Summer. But as we flip over to the Fall soon, the Tar Heels want to add to that class with at least one more prospect.

The Tar Heels recruiting board has shrunk a little bit with the decisions of a few prospects to cut down their lists. And it appears as if the board will shrink even more this weekend with the decision of four-star recruit Isaac Traudt.

The Nebraska native is ready to end his recruitment this weekend and has set an announcement date for Saturday morning. Traudt has a total of 32 offers in his recruitment but has a final list of Virginia, Nebraska, North Carolina and Michigan State.

As it stands right now, Virginia appears to be the favorites for Traudt as they have both of the crystal ball predictions on 247Sports. The Cavaliers have been the team to watch for weeks now and it appears as if UNC fell behind in the recruitment.

In short, we’d be shocked if Traudt committed to North Carolina at this point as all signs are leaning to him going to Atlantic Coast Conference foe Virginia.

UNC appears to be putting their eggs into two different baskets with Cam Whitmore and Tyler Nickel being their biggest recruiting targets at this stage. Both have visited campus and should be making decisions within the coming months.

Right now, UNC has a top 5 class for the 2022 cycle and landing one of those two mentioned above should be good to keep them in the top 5 for the time being.
