UNC Football: Dyami Brown impressing with big-play skills
The former UNC football standout wide receiver is showing that he could make an impact right away for the Washington Football Team.
Dyami Brown is no stranger to making big plays on the football field.
During his last two seasons in Chapel Hill, Brown was simply dynamic, averaging over 20 yards per-reception. After an impressive collegiate career, the former UNC football standout is looking to make an impact at the next level, and is already earning some attention at training camp.
Brown’s big-play ability is one of the reasons why the Washington Football Team elected to take him in the third round of this year’s NFL Draft. The organization viewed him as a “steal” that they were able to select him at the point of the draft.
In his recent post, Bryan Manning of USA Today listed five takeaways during the early part of Washington’s training camp. One of Manning’s focal points surrounded the former Tar Heel wide receiver.
Highlighted by the above catch that Brown made on a pass from quarterback Kyle Allen, Manning made note of Brown’s big-play ability. This is an ability of Brown’s that could easily make him a contributor right away in Washington’s offensive scheme.
Tar Heels fans will be quite busy this fall, as not only will they have the chance to watch the UNC football program in action, but can also keep tabs on some of the program’s rookies who have now moved onto the NFL.
It appears as if Javonte Williams may be the front-runner to start at running back for the Denver Broncos, while Michael Carter has taken first-team reps with his new team, the New York Jets.
Based on early training camp reports, it’s very possible that we could see some former Tar Heels making a major impact right away on Sunday afternoons.
We’ll warn you now: don’t be surprised if Brown is making big plays in the very near future.
