The month of July has been filled with events allowing coaches to evaluate talent in recruiting classes and that’s exactly what Hubert Davis and the UNC Basketball staff did. The Tar Heels spent time at multiple events and with July wrapping up, they made a trip for one final evaluation event in the month.

The Tar Heels have assistant coaches made the trek down to Orlando to watch some of the top prospects in high school basketball. Each year, the event traditionally hosts 100 recruits but this year it was cut down to 60 and some UNC commits and targets made the cut.

Both Seth Trimble and Jalen Washington were named to the camp, while targets like Isaac Traudt, G.G. Jackson, and Jaden Bradley were also at the event. And according to Joe Tipton of On3 Recruiting, the Tar Heels were among the teams represented:

The Tar Heels currently have a three-man class in 2022 but they would love to add at least one if not two more recruits to the class to wrap things up. Traudt and Bradley are two targets that would make sense while Jackson is a 2023 recruit that will be a priority for the Tar Heels.

Another new wrinkle for the event this year is that coaches can only attend for two days, Wednesday and Thursday, so it’s not shocking that the Tar Heels were there bright and early on Wednesday to watch.
