Class of 2022 prospect and 4-star power forward Isaac Traudt discusses his recent recruiting visit with the UNC basketball program.

Hubert Davis and his new-look coaching staff at the University of North Carolina hosted class of 2022 prospect Isaac Traudt for an official visit this week. Traudt’s trip to Chapel Hill was his fourth official visit to date, but the 6-foot-9, 210-pound power forward has stated that he might take more recruiting trips after July.

"“It was great,” Traudt told Zagsblog’s Adam Zagoria in a recent interview. “The facilities, staff, campus, and players. . . They want skilled forwards. [What appeals to me] is definitely the tradition of the school and how they have a big family with the players.”"

That the Tar Heels were able to get Traudt on campus is a good sign, though, given that he is holding upwards of 30 scholarship offers, many of those from the nation’s top basketball programs. Along with the Tar Heels, his list includes Creighton, Drake, Georgetown, Iowa, Kansas, Louisville, Michigan State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Virginia and Wisconsin, among others.

A rising 4-star recruit and a native of Grand Island, Nebraska, Traudt is fresh off of trips to Creighton, Michigan State, Nebraska and Virginia, and looking to make a college decision some time before his senior season of high school.

"“I’m factoring in my relationship with the staff, primarily the head coach,” Traudt said. “My relationship with incoming and returning players, and how I fit the style of play.”"

Traudt is ranked 60th in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s the ninth-ranked power forward on the class, and No. 1 in the state of Nebraska. He’s ranked similarly in the Rivals150 at No. 67 overall, and 10th among players at his position.
