The busy month of June continues on for the UNC Basketball program, setting up visits with a few different recruiting targets and more to come.

Hubert Davis and his staff landed their first recruit of 2022 following a visit last week with three-star recruit Will Shaver. With a small foundation set by landing a recruit, the Tar Heels are hoping to impress more recruits on visits and land them for that class.

One recruit that has UNC’s attention is five-star small forward Chris Livingston, a recruit that is ranked as one of the best in the 2022 class.

The Akron, Ohio native received an offer from UNC a few weeks back and has a total of 10 offers so far in his recruitment. But on Wednesday, Livingston made a key update to his recruitment by cutting his team list down to 11.

Per Tipton Edits, Livingston is down to Kentucky, North Carolina, Memphis, LSU, Ohio State, Georgetown, Kansas, Tennessee State, Florida, Alabama and Overtime Elite (Pro). Most of those schools have offered Livingston as of right now.

As for visits, Livingston has set one to Kentucky and Kansas right now but doesn’t have any other ones planned just yet. That obviously could change with his new update to his list and the Tar Heels could eventually get a visit from the talented recruit.

It’s tough to tell where UNC stands exactly and it’s good news that they made his list of 11 options but right now it feels like Kentucky or the pro route are a top his list.

The 6-foot, 200-pound Livingston is ranked No. 4 overall, the No. 2 small forward and the No. 1 player in the state of Ohio per the 247Sports recruiting rankings. He’s a big time talent that would be an instant impact for any program.
