The month of June is a big one for the UNC Basketball program as they have multiple visits lined up for recruits on campus. Hubert Davis and his staff have already seen a few of those players on visits and they were even able to land a commitment in the form of three-star center Will Shaver.

But the 2022 class isn’t the only one the Tar Heels’ staff is focusing on.

UNC has sent out a few offers in the 2023 recruiting cycle but it’s still very early in the stage for that class. Many more offers will come down the line and right now, the program is establishing their recruiting board full of priority targets. And a new target may have just been added.

Four-star combo guard Bryson Warren is a Little Rock, Arkansas native that is one of the top players in the 2023 class. He’s currently ranked No. 32 overall, No. 4 at his position and the No. 1 player in the state of Arkansas per 247Sports. He has a total of 22 offers in his recruitment so far and things are starting to pick up a bit in terms of interest.

Among the teams that are showing interest in Warren recently are the Tar Heels as he told Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers in a recent interview:

"Which schools would you say are heavily involved?“Auburn, Tennessee, Kansas, Arkansas, Memphis, Vanderbilt, Georgetown, Texas A&M.”Any newer programs in the mix?“North Carolina, Arizona State is the latest to show interest.”"

Warren has already started to take a few visits and was recently on Memphis’ campus for an unofficial. He also told Weingarten that he will visit Kansas, Tennessee, and Auburn but will make other trips as well.

It’s tough to tell where the Tar Heels stand in this recruitment as it appears as if they have some catching up to do but it’s good to know that they are reaching out and getting involved.  Warren appears to be a recruit we should keep an eye on as the weeks go by in terms of interest.
