Hubert Davis and his UNC Basketball staff are starting to prioritize recruits in the 2022 recruiting class ahead of a big month of June in terms of recruits visiting.

While North Carolina has yet to lock up a commitment in the 2022 class, there is a long way to go in the cycle and this Summer should be an exciting one. The Tar Heels are set to host close to 8 recruits on campus during the month for official visits, something that could help them down the line in terms of landing a commitment.

But a few are starting to become a priority for the Tar Heels and the race to land them could soon be over.

Four-star guard De’Ante Green is one of those recruits that UNC is putting the full court press on and he’s scheduled to be on campus June 11-12 . The in-state prospect is one of the top targets for the Tar Heels and even with Roy Williams retiring, Davis and his staff have stayed on Green in hopes of reeling him in.

With a few more weeks until he is on campus, Green caught up with Twitter account Tipton Edits to talk about his recruitment. The recruit told Tipton that there are three teams prioritizing him the most right now: North Carolina, N.C. State and Tennessee.

All three of those programs are going to receive an official visit from Green in June, each having the chance to impress the recruit. Now, this isn’t Green’s final list of schools but more of just three schools really recruiting him hard.

With that being said, these three might have the best chance to land him for the 2022 class as it stands right now.
