The 2022 recruiting cycle is going to start to heat up as the calendar flips to June thanks in part to the NCAA lifting recruiting restrictions. For the UNC Basketball program, they are expected to be players for several top recruits and even have a few visits scheduled for the month of June.

But one target that has yet to set an official visit is still receiving interest from North Carolina and another Blue Blood program.

Five-star 2022 guard Jaden Bradley is among a top target for both North Carolina and Kentucky in the recruiting cycle and is hearing from both programs as of late. The 6-foot-2, 160-pound Bradley is a Concord, North Carolina native but currently plays at IMG Academy in Florida. He has a total of 17 offers in his recruitment and this battle could come down to the Tar Heels and Wildcats.

Bradley participated in the Kansas City Classic over the weekend with Team CP3 and played well in the AAU event. After the event, Bradley caught up with Travis Branham of 247Sports to break down the latest in his recruitment. He told Branham that he’s still hearing from both North Carolina and Kentucky in his recruiting process.

Here is what he had to say on the Tar Heels just a month or so after they made a head coaching change:

"“He [Hubert Davis] was just trying to get to know me since Roy [Williams] left and just trying to build a relationship right now.”Since Davis took over in Chapel Hill, Bradley told 247Sports that Davis has re-extended the scholarship offer that Roy Williams had previously extended."

Bradley didn’t offer too much into who the top teams are in his recruitment and as of now, there’s really no timetable for a decision. I don’t know if that’s good or bad news but UNC does appear to still be in the mix for the prospect but with Kentucky holding the Crystal Ball lead on 247Sports, the Tar Heels have work to do.

Bradley is ranked No. 9 overall, No. 2 point guard and the No. 4 player in the state of Florida per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
