UNC Basketball: Four-star 2022 target locks in official visit

The month of June is setting up to be a big one for the UNC Basketball program in terms of recruiting visits. With the NCAA set to lift the restrictions on visits between players and coaches, recruiting will be in full swing this Summer.

And that’s good news for the Tar Heels.

Hubert Davis and his staff have already locked in official visits for both Justin Taylor and De’Ante Green in the month of June. Now, the Tar Heels are getting set for another visit from an intriguing 2022 recruit.

Per Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers, four-star forward Isaac Traudt has scheduled an official visit to North Carolina for June 27-29:

The Tar Heels are currently one of four teams that will get an official visit from the rising prospect this Summer, joining Michigan State, Nebraska, and Virginia on that list.

The 6-foot-6-inch, 205-pound power forward out of Grand Island, Nebraska is a four-star recruit that is ranked No. 51 overall, No. 9 power forward, and No. 1 player in the state of Nebraska per the 247Sports recruiting rankings. Traudt has a total of 30 offers in his recruitment but with these teams receiving visits this Summer, it’s a telling tale that he’s focusing on those programs at the moment.

With Traudt on campus for the 27-29, Taylor will visit June 5-6 and Green will be there from June 11-13. As of now, these are the only visits scheduled for the Tar Heels in June but more could be coming this Summer.

The Tar Heels have yet to land a commitment in the 2022 recruiting class but their board is starting to take shape as Davis and his staff are identifying their top targets. With restrictions gone in June, this should be a big Summer for recruiting and the Tar Heels.
