Being a student-athlete at UNC has its perks, and a big one is the Jordan Brand sponsorship for athletics. While the athletes get to rock the Jumpman on their gear, often times Jordan Brand hooks them up with player edition shoes that don’t hit the retail market.

But Jordan Brand hasn’t forgotten about the consumer either, and over the past year or so has dropped some awesome UNC-inspired colorways for us to buy. And 2021 will be no different.

Among the shoes that are set to release for Jordan Brand is a UNC-inspired Air Jordan 4 that was set to release earlier in 2021. However, the release was delayed and pushed back a bit but we finally have an updated release date.

The Jordan 4 is set to be one of four April releases for Jordan brand in terms of their retros for the 2021 calendar.  In addition to that release, they will also drop the Air Jordan 12 “Easter” (4/3),  Air Jordan 1 “Hyper Royal” (4/17), and  Air Jordan 11 “Legend Blue” (4/24).

While the Nike Air Jordan 4 SE “UNC” doesn’t have the Tar Heels logo on it, it’s dressed in that classic Carolina Blue for the upper and complimented with black, grey and white accents throughout the shoe. On the tongue, there is a Jordan Brand logo that rounds off the design.

These are similar to the Air Jordan 4’s that were also inspired by UNC a few years back with the biggest difference being no Tar Heels logo on the tongue.

If you want your chance to land a pair of these, make sure to keep your eyes on the SNKRS app as well as local retail stores. They will retail at a price of $190.
