UNC Basketball: Tar Heels game vs Clemson postponed
The UNC basketball program’s scheduled game against Clemson on January 9th has been postponed due to COVID-19 protocols.
Heading into the 2020-2021 college basketball season, it was expected that there would be some schedule changes due to the COVID-19 virus.
Once again, the UNC basketball team has a notable update to their schedule.
The Tar Heels were supposed to continue ACC play on January 9, as Clemson was scheduled to make a visit to Chapel Hill. However, due to the COVID-19 virus impacting the Clemson men’s basketball program, the game has been postponed. The ACC announced that the Tigers next game (scheduled for Tuesday, January 12) against Syracuse has also been postponed to a later date.
Due to the change in the schedule, the Tar Heels will not be playing on January 9. If you re-call, the Tar Heels also had an ACC matchup cancelled earlier in the year, as their scheduled January 2 contest against Syracuse was postponed.
Roy Williams’ team will not be in action on January 9, but the Tar Heels and Orange were able to figure out a way in which the two teams could make up their game in the progress.
Syracuse will make the trip to Chapel Hill on Tuesday, January 12. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 9:00 PM, and will be broadcasted live on the ACC Network.
