The awards keep rolling in for the UNC Football program following their 8-3 regular season which includes a trip to the Orange Bowl to take on No. 5 Texas A&M.
Earlier in December, the Tar Heels had several players named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference teams and honorable mention for their performance this past season. Now, as the month is wrapping up the team has a few players land on the All-American Team.
On Monday, the Associated Press revealed their three All-American teams for this past season and three Tar Heels made the list.
Junior running back Javonte Williams was named to the Second-Team while running back Michael Carter and wide receiver Dyami Brown were named to the Third-Team. All three were also honored by the ACC for their team selections.

Williams had his best season yet in Chapel Hill rushing for 1,140 yards and had a program record 22 touchdowns. He was named the ACC Player of the Year by Pro Football Focus but did not earn All-ACC First-Team honors by the conference.
Carter was named to a few All-ACC lists and finished the year with 1,245 rushing yards, leading the team. The senior is also the eighth player in program history to rush for 1,000+ yards in back-to-back seasons.
Brown posted another 1,000 yard receiving performance this season becoming the first player in program history to have 1,000 receiving yards in back-to-back seasons. The junior has developed into UNC’s best receiver and will head to the NFL after this year.
All three of these players have opted out of the Orange Bowl for the Tar Heels following their monster seasons in Chapel Hill.
