Jeremiah Gemmel

Like Surratt, Jeremiah Gemmel put up an outstanding defensive performance for the Tar Heels.

The junior linebacker tallied eight tackles (seven solo). He also picked up a half sack, and 2.5 of his tackles went for loss.

Gemmel has had some standout performances this season, but none may be bigger than the one he put together in the win against the Hurricanes. Gemmel was constantly in on the action, as he provided a steady force throughout the entire game.

Now, this final player made a play that definitely gave the Tar Heels a much-needed momentum boost.
