UNC Football: Tar Heels crack Top 5 for 2022 wide receiver
By Zack Pearson
The UNC Football program cracked the Top 5 for a very important 2022 wide receiver recruit out of the state of Virginia
This is a big week for the UNC Football program as they are set to host No. 2 Notre Dame in Chapel Hill on Friday, a huge game for not only the Tar Heels but the College Football Playoff as well.
But before that, the Tar Heels were on their bye week as they began preparation and they received some good news on the recruiting front. On Sunday night, four-star wide receiver Tychaun Chapman updated his recruitment by releasing his top 5 schools list.
On that list were the Tar Heels as they were joined by Alabama, Florida State, Penn State and Maryland:

Chapman is a very important recruit for the Tar Heels in the 2022 recruiting class as they have yet to land a commitment in that cycle.
The Virginia Beach, Virginia native is ranked as the No. 161 overall recruit, No. 19 receiver and No. 8 player in the state of Virginia in the 247 Sports recruiting rankings. He had a total of 24 offers in his recruitment before narrowing it down to these five teams.
As it stands now, the Tar Heels appear to be in good shape in this recruitment. The Tar Heels have one prediction on the 247 Sports Crystal Ball predictor and also received a prediction from Adam Friedman on Rivals over the weekend.
While listed at wide receiver, Chapman is an all-purpose back for Princess Anne High School and a dynamic playmaker that UNC would love to add to their offense.
