Jeremiah Gemmel

Jeremiah Gemmel had yet another impressive performance for the Tar Heels defense on Saturday afternoon.

The junior linebacker tallied 9 tackles (six solo). The Newnan, GA native also registered a sack, and provided constant pressure in the Blue Devils backfield throughout the contest. You can easily make the case that this game was Gemmel’s best performance of the 2020 season.

If the Tar Heels plan on contending for an ACC title, they will need Gemmel (and others) to continue playing at a high level on the defensive side of the ball.

The way he’s been playing recently, expect Gemmel to continue being a defensive force for the UNC Football program.
