Michael Carter

The UNC Football program has one of (if not the) best running back duo in the entire country. On Saturday, both ball carriers were standout performers for the Tar Heels offense.

Although Williams’ four-touchdown performance is the headliner, Michael Carter saw the bulk of the carries in the backfield. The senior from Navarre, FL tallied 17 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown. He also impacted the passing game, as he hauled in 3 passes for 46 yards and an additional score.

Overall, Carter had 137 total yards from scrimmage to go along with his two touchdowns. Pretty impressive day for the senior running back!

When Williams and Carter are on, they are a lethal force that is difficult for opposing defenses to stop. This was on full display on Saturday, as the Blue Devils defense struggled mightily against the Tar Heels offensive attack.

Carter may not tally the touchdowns like Williams has, but the senior tailback is just as vital to the team’s offensive success.
