Not one… Not two… Not three… But FOUR first-half touchdowns for Javonte Williams.
Yes, that’s not a typo!

The junior from Wallace, N.C. tallied three rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown through two quarters to help give the Tar Heels a comfortable cushion heading into half-time.
On the ground, Williams had 12 carries for 151 yards and three rushing touchdowns. In the passing game, the junior hauled in 4 passes for 24 yards and a score.
Overall, Williams tallied 175 total yards from scrimmage. Simply put, the junior running back continues to be a dominant force in the Tar Heels offense.
With his performance on Saturday afternoon, Williams became the first UNC Football player to score four touchdowns in a single game since Hakeem Nicks accomplished the feat in 2008.
Javonte Williams is the first @TarHeelFootball player to score four touchdowns in a game since Hakeem Nicks had four against Boston College in 2008.

Williams' 17 total touchdowns this season are tied for the fifth most by a Tar Heel. Elijah Hood had 17 in 2015.
Through seven games this season, Williams has tallied 17 total touchdowns, which currently leads all of college football (not including quarterbacks). He has a very good chance to surpass the school record of 19 (for non-quarterbacks), which was set by Don McCauley in 1970.
Needless to say, Javonte Williams is having a monster junior season. It’s safe to say that the college football world is finally starting to take notice of just how good of a football player he is.
