UNC Basketball recruiting target Skyy Clark is set to announce his college decision on Thursday and will pick between four teams.

It won’t be long before the UNC Basketball program learns their fate for five-star class of 2022 guard Skyy Clark.

One of the top players in the 2022 class, Clark will officially make his decision for which college he will attend on Thursday afternoon. After months of pursuit, the Tar Heels and other programs will learn about Clark’s decision and one program will be rewarded with a very talented recruit.

Clark is a five-star prospect that is ranked as the No. 14 overall recruit, No. 3 combo guard and the No. 2 player in the state of Tennessee per 247 Sports.

He had a total of 25 offers in his recruitment but back in September he cut his list down to UCLA, UNC, Kentucky and Memphis. But going into Thursday’s decision, many believe this recruitment is down to UNC and Kentucky.

Throughout the Summer Clark’s recruitment was an interesting one to watch. After he and his family moved from Los Angeles to Nashville, the offers from the Midwest and East Coast started to come in. After UNC offered him in July, many believed the Tar Heels were the favorites to land him and that even continued into the end of August.

But then things started to change.

The Wildcats offered him a day later and while the Tar Heels appeared to be the favorites in the recruitment, Kentucky really picked up steam in it. Throughout the months of August and September many analysts made their picks as to where he would land with it essentially being split between the Tar Heels and Wildcats. However, the lead experts on 247 Sports have been sticking with the Wildcats as their pick.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound combo guard is a player that can score from anywhere on the court and is an excellent passer. He’d be a perfect fit for what Roy Williams wants to do in his offense and with Caleb Love potentially being a one-and-done, Clark could be a big get.  But it’s certainly not looking that way.

Here’s what you need to know:

WHAT? Skyy Clark college decision
WHEN? Thursday, October 22nd
TIME? 7 p.m. EST
WHERE? Clark’s Instagram LIVE
PREDICTION? Kentucky

Sadly, the Tar Heels may have to look elsewhere for some guard help in the 2022 recruiting class because we think Clark is heading to Kentucky. Everything points the Wildcats’ way in this recruitment and we’d be shocked if a different result happened.
