Trey Morrison

If you want to talk about momentum-shifting plays, look no further than Trey Morrison’s huge play to end the third quarter.

Right after the Corrales score, the Tar Heels were looking for a defensive stop. On the first play of the drive, and on the final play of the third quarter, Morrison made a game-changing type of play.

Morrison made this outstanding one-handed interception to get the Tar Heels the ball back right away. Unfortunately, the Tar Heels were unable to capitalize on the ensuing drive, but Morrison’s big play deserves some recognition in this one.

If Morrison doesn’t intercept that pass, the whole complexion of the game could’ve changed. It’s very possible that without this play, the game wouldn’t have ended as close as it ultimately did.
