Javonte Williams

When you talk about the best running back duos in the country, you HAVE to include the Tar Heels thanks to Michael Carter and Javonte Williams.

For the first time this season, Williams rushed for over 100 yards. The junior from Wallace, NC carried the ball 19 times for 169 yards and two touchdowns. The running back also had three catches for 55 yards in the passing game.

After scoring just five touchdowns in 2019, Williams has already surpassed that total this year (currently sitting at six scores in 2020). With the way he’s been scoring, there’s a chance that he could challenge for the most touchdowns scored by any running back in the country this season.

The Tar Heels will be very difficult to stop if Carter and Williams continue to run the ball the way they did against Virginia Tech.
