Through the use of the foundation, Little and his family are striving to aid younger generations through arts, sports and education. As per NBC Sports, here is the mission statement of the Nassir S. Little Youth Foundation:
"“To support youth who are in need of financial assistance in honing their “EXCEPTIONAL” talent in areas of education, sports, performing and visual arts.”"
It didn’t take very long for Little to get started with the foundation. They have already launched the ‘Hold on to your Dreams’ grant, which is aimed to award scholarships to students who attend either of Little’s alma maters in Orange Park or Orlando, Florida. Little spent his first half of his high school career at Oakleaf High School in Orange Park, and finished his final two years at Orlando Christian Preparatory in Orlando.
Little serves as the President of the foundation, but he’s also getting a lot of help from his family. His father, Harold, will serve as the Vice President, while his mother, April, will be an Executive Assistant as well as the Website Manager/Graphic Designer for the foundation.
After wrapping up his rookie season in the NBA, it is great to see Little already giving back to the community. Through the Nassir S. Little Youth Foundation, the Little family will make tremendous contributions that will greatly impact younger generations.
