The UNC Basketball program has their eyes on this five-star target in the 2022 class but his recruitment has been silent as of late.

The news regarding five-star guard Jaden Bradley and the UNC Basketball program has been relatively quiet as of late and part of that is due to the NCAA’s ban on visits as well as no true AAU competitions for scouting.

But the talented guard out of Florida is still a prized recruit in the 2022 recruiting class for the Tar Heels as Roy Williams and his staff hope to land him. Turning in a big 2022 class will be key and with a need for help in the backcourt, Bradley would fit that mold.

The IMG Academy product is ranked as the No. 7 player in the 2022 class, No. 1 point guard and No. 2 player in the state of Florida per 247 Sports. He’s drawn interest from several programs, earning a total of16 offers including from programs like UNC, Kentucky, Florida, NC State, Louisville, Kansas, and Notre Dame among others.

However, while Bradley is receiving more and more interest, he’s not ready to trim his list down just yet.

The guard recently wrote his latest blog for Sports Illustrated to catch fans up on his recruitment and how life has been going. He noted in there that a few teams have been contacting him a lot recently but he’s not really ready to make a decision anytime soon:

"Notre Dame and George Washington are the two most recent schools to reach out to me. I just talk to a lot of coaches all the time now. I’m still just getting to know everyone and building those bonds because that’s really important to me.I don’t really have a plan for cutting anything down. I’m just enjoying the process."

That could be good or bad news for UNC’s chances.

One other target on UNC’s board, five-star guard Skyy Clark, is set to decide in October as part of the 2022 class and it could impact where Bradley will go. Obviously, the ideal scenario is Clark commits and Bradley eventually commits, giving them a legit duo in their back court.

The Tar Heels will welcome in Caleb Love and R.J. Davis this year but do not have a guard commit in 2021 just yet. Love would likely be gone and Davis will be a junior by the time the 2022 class is there, so there would be some depth and some talented pieces. But for now, UNC can only just wait and see on Bradley’s recruitment as it appears like there is a long way to go still.
