Mack Brown and the UNC Football program extend a scholarship offer to a 2022 offensive lineman whose stock continues to rise.

It’s been a very busy month for Kiyaunta Goodwin in regards to his recruitment.

Since September 9, the Charleston, Indiana native has received 10 scholarship offers. Some of the schools that have offered the four-star offensive lineman over that span of time include Michigan State, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Michigan, Iowa, Vanderbilt, Missouri, Texas A&M and Oregon.

Along with those schools, the North Carolina Tar Heels have also made an offer to Goodwin.

Goodwin posted on Twitter that he received a scholarship offer from the University of North Carolina. The Tar Heels join a long list of schools vying for a commitment from the Class of 2022 recruit.

The increase in interest for Goodwin shouldn’t be a surprise, especially given that the rising junior has completely transformed his body. In August, 247 Sports wrote an article about Goodwin’s transformation, mentioning that he dropped down to 315 pounds after weighing around 425 just a few years back.

Now standing at 6-foot-8, 315 pounds, Goodwin is rising in the ranks as a very intriguing offensive lineman prospect. He put himself in a really nice position to draw interest from some of the top college football programs in the country.

Currently, 247 Sports Composite lists Goodwin as the No. 34 ranked offensive tackle in his class, and view him as the sixth-best prospect in the state of Indiana.

The Tar Heels have some very tough competition for Goodwin, and one crystal ball prediction has him landing in the Big Ten. About a month ago, Steve Wiltfong, Director of Football Recruiting for 247 Sports, gave his crystal ball prediction for Goodwin to Ohio State.

With such a drastic increase in interest, that prediction from Wiltfong could definitely change. As programs give their pitch to Goodwin, it will be interesting to see if the Tar Heels can become serious contenders in this sweepstakes.
