The UNC Basketball program has made the cut for one of their top recruiting targets in the 2022 class as he trims list down to four

Roy Williams and the UNC Basketball program received some good news in terms of one of their top basketball recruiting targets.

On Thursday, five-star combo guard Skyy Clark made a big update to his recruitment by officially cutting his list down from 10 schools to just 4. Clark announced earlier in the week that he was planning on trimming his list and officially did so on Thursday afternoon.

The talented five-star guard officially named UCLA, UNC, Kentucky and Memphis in his final four schools:

The recruit sent out a series of tweets with an image of him in each of his final four program’s jersey. He added to each tweet that he remains uncommitted at this time.

The Tar Heels were expected to make the cut on his final list but this is still great news for their chances. Although UNC will have some tough competition in Kentucky, Memphis and UCLA, their chances of landing Clark are pretty good.

As it stands now, this could be a two-team race between the Tar Heels and Wildcats to land Clark with both teams picking up predictions over the past week or so. It truly does depend on who you ask in terms of what program will land Clark but to hear some think it will be UNC is great news.

UNC won’t be able to get Clark on campus anytime soon with the NCAA banning travel for coaches and recruits in terms of official visits but there is still time for that to change. However, with Clark cutting his list twice in the past month, things are moving quickly in his recruitment.
