The UNC Basketball program has seen a lot of success over the last decade. Continuing the trend as one of college sports’ most iconic programs, the Tar Heels have found ways to carry on their winning tradition.

You can go down the list of star players that have donned the Carolina blue. They have each impacted the program’s success, but let’s face it, you need more than just your stars to win National Championships.

Role players are vitally important to a team’s overall success. They may not be the players who get all the attention, but their impact on and off the floor definitely pays dividends.

Recently, the crew at Ball Durham discussed their top 10 Duke role players from the last decade. Not that we’re stealing the idea from our arch-rival, but we figured that you’d much rather take a look at the best role players that the Tar Heels have had over the years.
