Brian Goodwin

Next up we have Brian Goodwin who had a short-lived career with the UNC Baseball program, but nerveless once a Tar Heel always a Tar Heel.

Before transferring, Goodwin proved to be a fun one to watch. Goodwin only played one season with the Tar Heels, but that season was epic as a freshman he put outstanding numbers hitting .291 while tying Carolina record for triples in a season with six.

Goodwin also led Carolina in RBI with 63. He was named Freshman All-American by Louisville Slugger and despite his short time, he made a large impact. Goodwin production has been nothing short of amazing as last season in 413 at-bats he had 65 runs, 108 hits 47 RBI, and 17 home runs for the Los Angeles Angels.

Safe to say you can expect Goodwin to continue to improve and get better as his swing becomes more consistent with power.

Goodwin and the Angels will open up in the Bay on Friday night as they take on the Oakland Athletics to open the season. The team will play under new manager Joe Maddon for the 2020 season.
