Justin Jackson

Team: Dallas Mavericks

Current Record: 40-27

Playoff Position: Seventh in Western Conference

Barring an epic collapse, the Dallas Mavericks will be competing in this year’s NBA playoffs.

As of now, it appears that the Mavericks will be the seventh-seed in the Western Conference, which would likely match them up with the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round. There is a possibility that the Mavs can slide up a few spots, as they are just 2.5 games back of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets.

Although he has seen a slight drop in minutes played this season, Justin Jackson is still a player who can make an impact for the Mavericks down the stretch. In 58 games this season, Jackson is averaging 5.7 points-per-game as part of the team’s second unit.

Jackson does not currently have any NBA postseason experience, but he does have plenty of college playoff experiences under his belt. The 25-year-old was one of the key pieces to the Tar Heels 2017 National Championship team, and could use that experience to help this young Dallas team make some noise in the NBA postseason.
