A top UNC Basketball recruiting target in the 2022 class talks about his recruitment and what would be his best fit

The UNC Basketball program is focusing on their 2021 recruiting class with eight offers currently out to recruits. But Roy Williams and his staff are also focusing on their 2022 class.

The Tar Heels have just two offers out to 2022 recruiting prospects and have identified them as their top targets so far. One of those recruits that has an offer is a North Carolina native and is arguably UNC’s biggest target.

Five-star point guard Jaden Bradley is ranked No. 8 overall, No. 2 at his position and the No. 3 player in the state per the 247 Sports recruiting rankings. He was the first player to receive an offer from UNC in the 2022 class, landing one back in March of 2020. Since then, Bradley’s recruitment has been a little quiet but he did announce he was transferring to IMG Academy in Florida for his final two seasons.

As it stands now, Bradley has a total of 15 offers in his recruitment and will be one of the most sought-after recruits in the class.

On Tuesday Bradley did an interview with Brian Snow of 247 Sports to break down his recruitment and where he stands now. During the interview, Bradley that multiple programs have contacted him when allowed this Summer and North Carolina is among the programs showing the most interest.

He also went on to break down what he’s looking for the most in his ideal program and offered up this answer:

"“I am mainly looking for a family environment,” said Bradley. “I want to go somewhere I can be for a couple of years where I can grow on and off the court.”Also the offense they run will be important. I am looking for an offense that fits me. Is it fast paced, is it slow paced, I will be looking for a good system fit.”"

Hmm, that sounds a lot like North Carolina.

If you’re a follower of the Tar Heels you know that the Carolina Family with former players is a big  selling point for the school and basketball program. In addition to that, the comment about a offense the program runs just scrams Carolina to me especially with Roy Williams’ fast-paced offense.

There is still a lot of time left in Bradley’s recruitment but this article is some positive news for the Tar Heels.
