A big UNC Basketball recruiting target in the 2021 class revealed his commitment date set for this Saturday night

The month of April could be a big one recruiting-wise for the University of North Carolina as targets for both the basketball and football programs are set to make their announcements.

Class of 2020 four-star target Kerwin Walton has set his decision date of April 25th as the Tar Heels look to add to their impressive 2020 recruiting class. But the program could land their first commitment in the 2021 cycle just days before that.

Four-star power forward Dontrez Styles revealed on Twitter just minutes ago that he will make his official announcement on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET:

The Kinston, North Carolina native is ranked as the No. 57 overall player in the 247 Sports Composite rankings and has a total of 14 offers in his recruitment. He earned an offer from UNC back in late March and now is ready to make his decision just a month later. A good sign possibly for the Tar Heels.

UNC has shown interest in Styles for a few months now as he was on campus for a few games this past season. But just recently have they upped their pursuit in the local product hoping to secure their first commitment for the 2021 recruiting class. Styles would fill a big void on the perimeter for the Tar Heels beginning in the 2021-22 season if he does commit.

There are no Crystal Ball predictions for Styles on 247 Sports but the Tar Heels have picked up some momentum in this recruitment.
