A former Florida State football 2022 outside linebacker commit is set to visit the North Carolina Tar Heels on Thursday morning

Things are certainly trending up for the North Carolina football program as we are just a few weeks away from Spring ball.

The Tar Heels are welcoming in a Top 20 recruiting class for 2020, fresh off a 7-6 season that included their first bowl win since 2013. Earlier this week UNC received some huge news when they landed a commitment from four-star defensive end Keeshawn Silver.

Silver became the seventh player to commit to North Carolina’s 2021 class which is currently ranked in the Top 10. Landing Silver was a huge commitment and adds to UNC’s defense that also welcomes in one of the top players from 2020 in defensive end Desmond Evans.

While UNC continues to build on the 2020 class, they are also working on 2022.

Class of 2022 outside linebacker Melvin Jordan IV announced via Twitter that he was stopping by UNC’s campus on Thursday morning for an unofficial visit:

Jordan IV re-opened his commitment just a few days ago when he decommitted from Florida State. Since then he’s taken a few visits including to UNC and N.C. State on Thursday.

The 6-foot, 205-pound Jordan has a total of 13 offers so far in his recruitment but does not hold one from UNC yet. That total is expected to increase as he shows interest in other programs with his recruitment back open. He’s currently ranked as a four-star recruit and No. 47 overall in the 2022 class by 247 Sports.
