UNC Basketball head coach Roy Williams was on the recruiting trail Tuesday night as he watched a four-star small forward in Snow Hill.

With a few days off until the North Carolina Tar Heels return to the court to take on rival Duke this Saturday, head coach Roy Williams is back on the recruiting trail.

Williams made the trip to Snow Hill, North Carolina to watch Kinston High School take on Greene Central on Tuesday night and he was there to see four-star small forward Dontrez Styles. This will be the third time in two weeks the Tar Heels have either watched Styles play or the recruit has been on UNC’s campus, a good sign that both parties are interested.

The head coach was spotted by several in attendance and posed for some photos with fans:

Styles is an in-state prospect out of Kinston and is quickly grabbing the attention of several programs across the country. He’s rated as a four-star small forward and ranked No. 71 overall in the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.

The recruit was on UNC’s campus Saturday for an unofficial visit and prior to that, the Tar Heels watched him play. Styles does have a total of 12 offers including from Clemson, Maryland, N.C. State, and Pitt among others but the Tar Heels are yet to extend an offer. With UNC showing interest here, it certainly feels like an offer should be on the way soon.

The Tar Heels also have a small history with the city of Kinston. Legendary Tar Heel Jerry Stackhouse played his high school ball there and the Tar Heels were in the running for former five-star commit Brandon Ingram before he picked Duke.
