The UNC Basketball program will host a four-star combo guard on their recruiting big board in October as his official visits were announced on Monday

The third official visit for the North Carolina Tar Heels Basketball program in the Fall is officially set.

Just a few days after five-star center Walker Kessler and five-star guard Caleb Love set their official visit dates for the same weekend in September, UNC found out the plans for four-star combo guard R.J. Davis on Monday. Pat Lawless of Prep Circuit tweeted out three official visit weekends that Davis will take to Pittsburgh, Marquette on North Carolina on Monday morning as the recruit will be in Chapel Hill October 11-13.

The New York native has a total of 19 offers in his recruitment so far, receiving his official offer from North Carolina in July.

But as he enters his senior season at Archbishop Stepinac High School, Davis is prepared for the next steps in his recruitment. Davis will visit these three schools this Fall and will have one official remaining after he took a visit to Georgetown in the Fall.

The 5-foot-11, 164-pound Davis is ranked as the No. 85 player overall in the 2020 recruiting class and the No. 8 player at his position by 247 Sports.

With a need on the wing starting with the 2020 class, UNC has offers out for a few guards. Love has already set his official visit and now Davis has as well, but UNC will likely get officials from both D.J. Steward and Jaden Springer as well. For Love and Davis, this could come down to one committing UNC and who wants to commit first.

Roy Williams and his staff already have five-star center Day’Ron Sharpe signed but they would love to add at least three more players with an emphasis of getting at least two players on the wing.
