One of the top targets for the UNC Basketball program has revealed when he will take official visits to five of his top six schools

In August, several top recruiting targets for the North Carolina Tar Heels trimmed their lists as they made updates to their recruitments. The next step for those recruits was to schedule official visits and then take them either in the Fall or Winter.

With a need on the wing in this recruiting class, Roy Williams and his staff have some offers out at the guard and forward position hoping to land some top talent to go with already committed five-star center Day’Ron Sharpe.

UNC did make the list for their tip targets, including five-star point guard Caleb Love who included the Tar Heels in his Top 6. Now Love is ready to visit Chapel Hill and will be on campus next month.

Rivals’ recruiting analyst Corey Evans revealed on Saturday morning that Love will take his official visits beginning with Indiana on September 12th. The Missouri native will be in Chapel Hill a week later for his visit on September 20th:

"Thanks to the continued prioritization that head coach Cuonzo Martin has placed upon Love, the top-35 guard will use his first official visits on the in-state program during the weekend of September 7.From there, Love will visit Indiana (September 12), North Carolina (September 20), Louisville (September 27), and Kansas (October 12). Arizona is the final program on the list that, though they did not receive an official visit, are working a date to host Love in the unofficial variety (for further understanding, official visits are 48-hour visits, all-expenses paid by the school for a prospect and one family member, while an unofficial visit is paid for by the prospect, himself)."

That means Love will be on campus the same time as five-star center Walker Kessler, as the Georgia native will take his official on September 20th.

With all five of Love’s visits scheduled for the Fall, we could see him announce sooner rather than later. Making a announcement in December for his recruitment isn’t out of the question and UNC should know where they stand after their official visit.

The Tar Heels would love to add the point guard to their wing as they still have offers out for Cade Cunningham, Ziaire Williams, Jaden Springer and Puff Johnson on the wing. Cunningham seems unlikely which leaves UNC with just those three other targets to pursue.
