Mock Class as of 08/14/2019

Day’Ron Sharpe (Center)

The lone commit so far will likely sign during the Early Signing Day period come November and his stock could continue to soar. Sharpe has been a good building block for Williams and this 2020 class.

Ziaire Williams (Forward)

Even with Duke offering in July, there is still a feeling that Williams will end up in Chapel Hill and commit to UNC at some point. The only question is when?

There have been rumblings that Williams’ commitment will drag on into 2020, something similar to the recruitment of Cole Anthony last year as he committed to UNC in April of 2019. While Williams will likely use all of his official visits, the Tar Heels are still in a good spot.

It would be a big upset to see him anywhere but Chapel Hill. If he ends up in Durham, it would also be a disappointment of many fans.

Puff Johnson (Forward)

This race appears to be down to UNC and Arizona as the four-star forward has ties to both programs. Puff’s brother, Cam, played two seasons at UNC and he was on campus all the time as a visitor. He was working out with Cam ahead of the NBA Draft.

The key to this recruitment will be what happens with his eligibility in his senior year. He won’t be able to play in Pennsylvania and if he moves in with his brother Cam, he will be close to Arizona.

Next. Don't expect these 2020 recruits to sign with UNC. dark

Our best guess is that he still ends up at UNC.
