The next best thing

G – Cole Anthony
G – Brandon Robinson
F – Nassir Little
F – Garrison Brooks
C – Armando Bacot

In this iteration of the 2019-20 UNC starting lineup, the Tar Heels bid farewell to sensational freshman guard Coby White, but welcome back uber-athletic wing Nassir Little.

After Little passes on the NBA Draft for another year in college, he comes back to a program that is still built for title contention. Little, with the addition of Cole Anthony and Armando Bacot, leads a team that also boasts the experience and leadership of senior wing Brandon Robinson and junior forward Garrison Brooks.

Although White is gone, Anthony comes in and excels in Roy Williams’ offense, aptly creating his own opportunities and getting teammates involved. Anthony’s game is a bit different from White’s a season ago, but the effectiveness is there, nonetheless.

The Tar Heels would serve up healthy doses of Cole Anthony-to-Nassir Little, and the combination of Brooks and Bacot would bring back the traditional “two-big” front court that Roy Williams likes to run. North Carolina would have tremendous size and speed in its starting lineup, as well as a bench that offers two players 6-foot-10 or taller (Brandon Huffman, Sterling Manley) and capable back court options to come in and spell Anthony at the point guard position in Seventh Woods and Leaky Black.
