Another five-star guard has set his official visit to the UNC Basketball program as it will be a big weekend in September for the Tar Heels

Tuesday has been a big day for the North Carolina Tar Heels basketball program in terms of official visits from recruiting targets.

First it was Cole Anthony setting a visit date to Chapel Hill and then minutes later, another guard announced when he was setting his visit.

Just minutes after Inside Carolina reported on Anthony’s visit date, Scout’s Evan Daniels revealed that class of 2019 guard Josh Green has set visit dates for two schools. Daniels is reporting that Green will be on UNC’s campus the weekend of September 22nd and will visit Arizona on October 13th.

The IMG product will be in Chapel Hill with his teammate, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, for that weekend as UNC will host both recruits. The two are high on UNC’s recruiting board and it could be a special weekend for the Tar Heels if they manage to land both of them when they make their respective decisions.

Williams and the Tar Heels already have a great start to their 2019 recruiting class with verbals from Jeremiah Francis and most recently, five-star center Armando Bacot who also happens to play at IMG Academy. UNC would love to add another guard and forward, capping off what could be one of Williams’ best classes in recent memory.

The 6-foot-6 Green received his official offer from UNC on July 31st after Williams scouted him at the open evaluation period. He’s ranked No. 9 in the 2019 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings and is considered one of the more versatile athletes in this recruiting class.

As of now, it appears that UNC and Arizona are the two favorites to land Green with the Tar Heels holding the edge in the Crystal Ball predictor.

Williams and the Tar Heels are expected to visit Green for an in-home visit on Wednesday, one of a few scheduled this week.

Green is in no hurry to make his decision per reports so we could see one anytime after the early signing period.
