National Signing Day is officially here! The long wait is over as class of 2018 recruits will make their decisions today, ending recruitments.

The North Carolina Tar Heels are entering the day with the 35th ranked class according to 247 Sports and are looking to add to it.

They are in the running for seven recruits who are set to announce today beginning early in the morning and lasting through the afternoon.

The Tar Heels already have 16 of their recruits signed going into the day, with six of them enrolled at the University.

They also have two verbal commitments that are expected to sign at some point on Wednesday.

It could end up being a big day for UNC, especially if everything goes right.

The day will begin early, so make sure you’re up and ready as we will do our best to keep you updated on the latest regarding the UNC football program. We will have this live tracker as well as up to the minute news via our Twitter account throughout the day.

The first big announcement comes early at 7 a.m. with running back Anthony Grant. The four-star running back will be one of the first announcements in all of college football.

UNC could have a big hour from 11 a.m. ET-Noon as Dax Hollifield, Jamarcus Chatman, William Barnes and Ed Montilus are announcing.

From there it will be Rick Sandidge, Gavin Lewis and Antoine Green in the afternoon.

3:43 p.m. — Four-star WR Antoine Green picks UNC!

3:06 p.m. — Getting ready for Antoine Green’s announcement. UNC can land a big four-star WR here. He’s down to UNC and Georgia.

2:36 p.m. — DL Gavin Lewis picks UNC over UCLA. He becomes the 20th member of UNC’s 2018 class.

2:34 p.m. — DE Rick Sandidge picks South Carolina over UNC and Georgia.

12:20 p.m. — With the additions of Barnes and Montilus, UNC now has a Top 25 class according to 247 Sports.

12:00 p.m. — DeAndre Hollins makes it official and signs his letter of intent to UNC. Hollins is a three-star recruit out of Tampa Bay.

11: 55 a.m. — Quick reaction to UNC landing Barnes and Montilus.

11:50 a.m. — BREAKING: William Barnes and Ed Montilus have committed to UNC.

11:35 a.m. — Offensive linemen William Barnes and Ed Montilus are set to announce. Tar Heels have picked up some momentum…

11:24 a.m. — Jamarcus Chatman picks Florida State. The DE had the Tar Heels in his final three.

11:16 a.m. — Hollifield is a tough loss for the Tar Heels. Here’s what he said about VT defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Bud Foster:

11:15 a.m. — Hollifield picks Virginia Tech. Tar Heels lose out on another big instate linebacker.
