Friday’s edition of Tar Heels Tidbits includes the latest on some former UNC football players, current basketball players and some recruiting

The latest installment of Tar Heels Tidbits takes you into a big weekend for the North Carolina Tar Heels basketball team.

Not only will the Tar Heels take on Georgia Tech in the Dean E. Smith Center on Saturday, but later that night they will find out their fate in regards to recruit Zion Williamson.

The No. 3 overall recruit in the 2018 class is set to announce his decision on Saturday night, finally ending his recruitment.

Aside from that, it’s been a busy week in UNC athletics.

A snowstorm hit Chapel Hill, causing classes to be cancelled and students enjoying the time off.

Basketball

  • Former UNC standout James Michael McAdoo helped deliver a baby. Yep, you read that right and Inside Carolina has the story.

  • Former UNC defensive back M.J. Stewart is participating in the Reese’s Senior Bowl and has been added to the South Roster.
  • Ryan Switzer earned All-Rookie honors for the Dallas Cowboys this year.
  • After spending time on the Detroit Lions practice squad, former UNC wide receiver Quinshad Davis is joining UNC’s coaching staff.
