We get you ready for Zion Williamson’s announcement on Saturday night

The recruitment of Zion Williamson will come to an end on Saturday night when the five-star prospect announces his long-awaited decision.

Williamson is one of the top players in the 2018 recruiting class and is known for his viral videos of him dunking all over the competition.

The recruit has drawn interest from all of the top programs in the nation and had a total of 20 offers from schools.

But now it will all come to an end.

Williamson will make one team happy when he announces and turn down the other five that are reportedly involved in his recruitment. It will be one of the most anticipated announcements in a long time for college basketball recruiting.

One of the six teams left is the University of North Carolina who hopes to add Williamson to their already impressive 2018 class featuring five star recruits Nassir Little and Coby White as well as four star guard Rechon Black.

Roy Williams has gone to see Williamson within the last week as have other coaches like Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski on Tuesday.

Here’s what you need to know about the announcement:

What?

Five-star forward Zion Williamson will announce which college he is headed to in 2018 on Saturday.

Williamson is seen as a one-and-done player and is arguably the most talented high school player since LeBron James. He’s the No. 3 overall recruit in the 2018 recruiting class and No. 1 small forward and No. 1 player in South Carolina.

When?

Williamson will make his decision at Spartanburg Day High School in Spartanburg, South Carolina on Saturday, Jan. 20 at 8 p.m. ET.

The ceremony will be open to the public and a packed crowd is expected.

We will have coverage of the announcement via our Twitter account, keeping you updated before and after the announcement.

The latest?

Going into the decision, Williamson is down to six teams and Clemson is believed to be the favorites to land the in-state star.

The 247 Sports Crystal Ball predictor is giving Clemson an 83% chance followed by a 4% chance for UNC, Kansas, South Carolina and Kentucky.

Coaches are making a final push to try and sway Williamson to their program. In the past week, a few coaches have been in to see Williamson:

UNC head coach Roy Williams will visit Williamson on Thursday according to a report from Inside Carolina.

South Carolina’s Frank Martin visited Williamson on Wednesday, while Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski was in on Tuesday.

At this point, it’s unknown where Williamson will go but it appears as if Clemson is the team to beat. UNC has picked up some steam but is it enough?
