Roy Williams takes another visit to South Carolina to see 2018 recruit Zion Williamson

University of North Carolina head coach Roy Williams is visiting class of 2018 recruit Zion Williamson again.

According to Inside Carolina, Williams was in Spartanburg, South Carolina on Tuesday morning to visit with Williamson.

The visit occurred at Williamson’s school, Spartanburg Day High School.

This is the second time Williams has visited Williamson this month. He traveled to South Carolina on Nov. 1 to visit Williamson, a day before Bill Self and Mike  Krzyzewski visited the recruit.

With the commitments of Nassir Little, Coby White and Rechon Black, the Tar Heels have the No. 2 overall recruiting class for 2018. They previously sat in the No. 1 spot until R.J. Barrett committed to Duke a week ago.

UNC’s class is very strong but it still lacks a dominant front court player.

After Simi Shittu canceled his official visit to UNC and the Tar Heels missing out on Romeo Langford’s top 3 schools, Williamson now becomes a big recruit for the program.

Adding Williamson, who is one of the top players in the class, would move UNC back to No. 1 overall and give them their best class in years.

It also adds a dynamic player in the 6-foot-6 Williamson.

As for a decision, Williamson hasn’t revealed if he will sign in the early signing period or wait until April.

A report from Greenville Online on Tuesday suggested that Williamson could surprise everyone and sign in the early signing period. That period ends on Nov. 15, leaving very little time for it to happen.

The No. 2 overall recruit in the class is considering Clemson, South Carolina, Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina and Kansas. The Wildcats currently have the lead in 247 Sports’ Crystal Ball predictor with UNC sitting at 7 percent.

Next: Is Joel Berry close to returning?

But if Williams keeps the pressure on and somehow lands Williamson, it will be North Carolina’s biggest prized recruit since Harrison Barnes.
