UNC vs Miami: Preview, broadcast information and prediction
Struggling Tar Heels face off against undefeated Hurricanes
It goes without being said that the North Carolina football program has seen better days.
Entering week 9, the Tar Heels are just 1-7, with their only victory coming against an out-manned and over-matched Old Dominion squad.
Over the first two months of the season, the team has struggled to do anything right with any level of consistency.

When the defense plays well, the offense doesn’t stay on the field long enough to keep its counterpart from enduring complete exhaustion by the end of the game. When the offense plays well…wait, nevermind.
A complete turnaround seems unlikely this weekend, given that the Tar Heels suit up against one of the better defensive units, and overall teams, in the country.
On Saturday afternoon, the Tar Heels face off against the Miami Hurricanes in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where things haven’t been easy for the home team this season. Despite playing five of their first eight games at Kenan Stadium, the Tar Heels haven’t won a single home game in 2017.
They also haven’t beaten a Power Five team since November of last year. And they haven’t won a game against a ranked opponent since last October when they knocked off then No. 16 Miami.
North Carolina has scored just 55 points in its past five games, tallying no better than 17 in any one game. They endured their worst defeat of the season last week when they allowed Virginia Tech to put up 59 points.
Miami, on the other hand, is not only looking to win its first ever ACC championship, but vying for a spot in the College Football Playoff. So far, the Hurricanes’ record is unblemished, despite winning their last three games by just 13 combined points.
They’ve still got some work to do before etching their names in the history books, particularly their consecutive games against Virginia Tech and Notre Dame to begin the month of November.
