National Signing Day is finally here! We are helping you keep track of all the latest news regarding the University of North Carolina and prospects on this big day
The North Carolina Tar Heels had a disappointing 2016 season and lost several key players to graduation and the NFL draft. Now the rebuilding begins and it starts with National Signing Day in 2017.
This live tracker is designed to keep you updated on the latest from UNC’s recruits who have committed, are on campus, decommitted or still making their decisions on this day.
We also won’t limit it to just football either. If any basketball news breaks, we will be on top of it.

Wednesday, Feb. 1
6:00 p.m. — Class of 2020 WR Porter Rooks gets offer from UNC.
11:00 — UNC is out on RB AJ Davis. Their 2017 class is officially wrapped up.
10:45 – Kayne Roberts signing at his school.

10:19 — 2017 DB recruit Dazz Newsome commits to UNC.
10:15 — UNC currently has the No. 27 ranked class on Rivals.
9:16 — Tre Shaw is a defensive back signed in UNC’s class. Will they add another later in the day?
9:08 — Brian Anderson is a member of the Tar Heels!
8:47— Beau Corrales makes it official.
8:41 — Highlights from commit Jonah Melton.
8:40 — All of UNC’s 19 LOI’s are in. Now they await for decisions from Dazz Newsome and A.J. Davis.
8:29 — Caleb Rozar, a dynamic player in the 2017 class makes it official.
8:20 — The No. 72 Outside Linebacker in ESPN’s class is officially a Tar Heel! Jeremiah Gemmel makes it official.
8:15 — Malik Robinson makes it official!
8:07 — UNC’s second running back in the 2017 class is officially a Tar Heel. The two commits are big for a school who lost both T.J. Logan and Elijah Hood.
8:02 — The first NLI in the 8 o’clock hour belongs to Marcus McKeathan.
7:49 — Jake Lawler gave UNC his verbal in early 2016 and now his LOI is in..
7:38 — Xach Gill has his LOI in. He also has the coolest name in UNC’s 2017 recruiting class.
7:30 a.m. – Class of 2017 cornerback Ameer Speed chooses Georgia over Michigan State, North Carolina, Oregon and Virginia Tech.
7:30 — J.T. Cauthen’s LOI is officially in.
7:24 — 4-star ATH C.J. Cotman makes it official. He’s now a big get in UNC’s 2017 class after decommitting from Tennessee.
7:20 — Jordan Tucker officially becomes a Tar Heel. He’s the No. 55 rated OT in the 2017 class by ESPN.
7:15 — Kayne Roberts LOI.
7:12 — Noah Ruggles faxes his LOI. The Tar Heels get a big kicker commit to replace Nick Weiler.
7:07 — Billy Ross’ LOI is received.
7:01 a.m.: —Michael Carter’s LOI is in. He’s officially a Tar Heel.
Tuesday, Jan. 31
4:21 p.m. — Class of 2018 linebacker Teradja Mitchell announces he will list his top 11 at 7pm. on National Signing Day. He’s the No. 1 ILB in the 2018 class and has an offer from UNC.
8:50 p.m. — Class of 2018 running back Jamal Elliott releasing his Top 10 tomorrow.
10 a.m. — UNC target Ameer Speed is soaking up the sun ahead of his decision tomorrow. He’s down to UNC, Michigan State, Oregon, Virginia Tech and Georgia.

Sunday, Jan. 29
5 p.m. — UNC has landed Auburn transfer Stanton Truitt. He announced his decision Sunday afternoon. The former wide receiver has converted to a running back and has two years of eligibility left. He’s able to play right away for the Tar Heels in 2017.
2017 Class
The four-star recruit was originally committed to Tennessee before having an offer pulled. He committed to UNC on Jan. 12.
Malik Robinson re-affirmed his commitment to UNC saying his recruiting process is over. That’s is great news for the Tar Heels.
Did not sign with UNC
Speed chose the Georgia Bulldogs over UNC, Michigan State, Oregon and Virginia Tech on Wednesday morning.
