In the last five drafts and average of 16.8 guards are drafted each year. Turner currently ranks as the 13th best guard in the draft.

Despite being the anchor of an offensive line that protected one of the top offensives in the country, Turner has seen his stock drop all year. Scouts worry about his short arms and he did not measure or preform well at the combine. I think the tape shows Turner to be an above average guard, but he clearly has dropped from a second day prospect to a third day one.

Best case scenario is looking like 4th round. Fifth round seems the most likely, but the only way Turner doesn’t get drafted is if an undisclosed injury is revealed sometime before Saturday. Otherwise no other red flags should present themselves for a player who was a leader on the field and off it.
