The North Carolina Tar Heels kept their winning streak alive in the first November game of the season as we hit crunch time.
UNC dominated from the start against Georgia Tech, scoring on their first drive to take an early 7-0. It took just 1:45 seconds for the Tar Heels to march down the field but after that, they never looked back.
Led by Elijah Hood’s 168 yards on 12 carries, UNC’s offense was firing on all cylinders.

Quarterback Mitch Trubisky completed 20 of his 32 attempts, throwing for 329 yards and 1 touchdown on the game. He didn’t turn it over either, as he only has two turnovers on the season.
Despite giving up a lot of yards on the stat sheet, UNC’s defense played well again.
It was the third-straight week that UNC’s defense played well and is slowly improving. A good sign for Fedora and the Heels down the stretch.

The win helped the Tar Heels keep pace with Virginia Tech in the ACC Coastal Division, as the Hokies survived Duke’s upset bid on Saturday.
UNC will need to win out their remaining two ACC games, sandwiched between a game against The Citadel, to have a chance.
Then they will need some help.
The Tar Heels will need the Hokies to lose one of their two remaining games, which are against Georgia Tech and Virginia. Both of those games are home games.
UNC’s win also means they will likely move up from number 21 in the next set of College Football Playoff Rankings.
