The UNC football program is set to host Rice offensive tackle Chad Lindberg. The redshirt senior from League City, Texas has one year of eligibility remaining and after finding more playing time with the Owls than at then two-time defending national champions Georgia, and now has himself set up to play his final season with a bigger school.

Lindberg is a perfect Bill Belichick player. At 6-foot-6, 315 pounds, he is a physical mauler. He's also versatile. Due to injuries along their offensive line, Rice deployed six unique line combinations in 12 games, with only two of their lineman healthy enough to start every game. Lindberg was brought in to play left guard, but had to move to right guard, and then left tackle all within the span of one season. No matter where he was, Lindberg got the job done, only allowing one sack during his season at Rice.

Current UNC center Austin Blaske and Lindberg shared some time in Athens a year ago before arriving at North Carolina and Rice respectively. It will be interesting to see if they have any chemistry together on the Tar Heel offensive line.
