Hamilton, who’s repped by @david_benzaken, was a Class of 2023 four-star recruit and had seven catches last year.https://t.co/10Sz3YwNKg pic.twitter.com/TFxXQtBNcy
The six-foot, 190 pounds wideout was a four-star recruit when Mack Brown signed him out of Hickory Ridge High School. In two seasons, he hasn't been as productive as Tar Heel fans may have hoped, recording just ten receptions for 179 yards, and one touchdown in his two seasons.
That one touchdown was a spectacular one against Charlotte last season, though.
It's disappointing that North Carolina fans won't be able to see the home-state product's final form, as he developed over the past two seasons, but such is college football in the modern age. Hamilton will be able to find a school and situation that fits his skills and matches it with a depth chart that will give him the best chance of seeing immediate playing time. Meanwhile, Bill Belichick and Michael Lombardi will scour the transfer portal for veteran wide receivers who can make an immediate impact in Chapel Hill.
