The UNC football program has offered class of 2026 wide receiver Devin Fitzgerald, son of former Pitt Panther and Arizona Cardinal legend Larry Fitzgerald.

Devin Fitzgerald is a 6-foot-2, 185 pound wide receiver from Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix, Arizona. He is currently a 247Sports Composite and On3 three-star recruit, with Rivals showing him as a four-star.

Fitzgerald's production has been as impressive as his pedigree. During his junior season at Brophy College, he played 13 games and caught 52 passes for 720 yards and nine touchdowns.

But it's not just his pass catching that captures the eye. Fitzgerald is a willing and capable downfield blocker, something that will endear him to Bill Belichick, a man who prizes versatility in his players, especially when they allow him to hide his cards when it comes to play calling.

North Carolina will have to compete amongst a bevy of local schools like Arizona, Arizona State, UCLA, and Cal, as well as his dad's alma mater Pitt. SEC and Big Ten powers haven't all offered yet, but with a strong summer camp circuit and senior season, that could easily change, so it's imperative that Coach Belichick and the Tar Heels make a strong impression early.

Let's see if UNC can snag this legacy player away from an ACC rival and the backyard favorites.
